A Lovely Forgotten is a twelve piece collection of photographs that serve as a commentary on the state of South Dallas today. South Dallas is a beautiful community that holds a long history of struggle, change and a stagnant progression due to oppression and lack of support. As people move in and out of the community, the city continues to build and upgrade around the neighborhood rather than within its neglected community. As the rest of Dallas continues to grow, the city has forgotten about the people, stories and sacred history of the culturally rich community. These beautifully haunting photographs hope to capture the enriching stories within the withered buildings, distressed streets and beautiful people abandoned outside of a city in the midst of beautiful change. Memorable images of a lovely forgotten.
